Renault has announced that its van range is set to receive a wide array of updates, including enhanced specifications and the installation of Euro 6 emission compliant engines on their Kangoo, Master and Trafic models. The new vans can be ordered now and are expected to begin shipping very soon.
The Renault range previously only offered the Euro 6 engines in the Kangoo model, but will now provide an expanded range that gives small van buyers a greater array of choices. In particular, the Maxi version now comes with many more configurations than was previously the case, combined with the brand new engines. The new versions offer a potential combined fuel economy of as much as 62 miles per gallon, priced from £14,150.
The Trafic will also benefit from the Energy dCi 95 engine at last, with prices beginning at £19,325, while the Euro 6 Traffic range finishes with 120, 125, 145 and dCi versions, with the 125 and 145 models making use of twin-turbo technology. The biggest van offered by the company, the Master panel van, which is priced starting from £22,270, comes with Energy dCi 110, dCi 110, and the dCi 130 single turbo Euro 6 engines – as well as the twin turbo Energy dCi 170 and 145 models.
The Energy dCi 165 is offered for rear-wheel drive applications, with each version being more powerful than their predecessors by around 5 to 10 bhp. All three vans also come with a standard fit alarm system, ensuring they meet with newly introduced insurance criteria in the United Kingdom.
